ICF Accredited Course Outline

This course helps you to coach yourself first and hence discovers or rather uncovers the true potential of coaching also as a coach. Then from a space of experiential knowledge and wisdom, the course fine tunes the coaching skills as per ICF’s core coaching competencies.

The program involves a holistic approach to coaching as it combines Eastern philosophy, human spirituality, neuroscience, psychology and Western management , ie. esoteric, integrative and analytical approaches.

The Emmpower brand of coach certification has an inspirational essence which enables self awareness, self regulation and self motivation. It empowers self transformation to become a centred coach and a potential transcendent leader. The live person to person sessions help the individual to open up and break free. It makes it easy for the individual to go in depth; and learn about themselves. The lead Mentor Coach and Facilitator for this program is a Master Certified Coach, MCC.

The session gives an appreciative insight into unrealized potential and inner resources of an individual. The program enables you to address business applications of coaching, apart from working with personal reactions and values. Currently from India, Emmpower delivers the ICF accredited Coach Certification Training Course for ICF certification towards ACC – Level 1, PCC – Level 2 and MCC- Level 3. The International Coaching Federation, USA, (ICF), is the largest, globally accepted, non-profit, peer-managed, international coaching community.

ICF Accredited Program

Emmpower offers the ICF Accredited Coach Certification Training that leads to :-

• Level 1 - ACC, Associate Certified Coach,
• Level 2 - PCC Professional Certified Coach and
• Level 3 – MCC, Master Coach Certification.
• Coach Training Eligibility - 15 years for Level 2, PCC and 7 years for Level 1, ACC.

The Requirements for Certification for ACC, Level 1,

includes 65 hours of training, including assignment validated self study hours, with minimum 10 hours mentor coaching. Emmpower also conducts the Performance Evaluation for this level post coaching practise for an additional 8 to 10 hours Performance Evaluation will be based on coach recordings demonstrating the ICF Core Competencies. Once 100 hours of validated coaching experience from the date of joining the Coach Training Program is done, you will be eligible to apply to ICF online, with necessary documentation and ICF online fees. Once ICF verifies this and the clearance of an online written test, the CKA, Coach Knowledge Assessment is complete, you will receive your ICF final Certificate directly from ICF, USA.

The Requirements for Certification for PCC, Level 2

includes 125 hours of training, including assignment validated self study hours, with minimum 20 hours mentor coaching. Emmpower also conducts the Performance Evaluation for this level post coaching practice for an additional 10 to 15 hours. Performance Evaluation will be based on coach recordings demonstrating the ICF Core Competencies. Once 500 hours of validated coaching experience from the date of joining the Coach Training Program is done, you will be eligible to apply to ICF online, with necessary documentation and ICF online fees. Once ICF verifies this then you will need to pass the CKA, (a written Coach Knowledge Assessment) which is conducted online, post which you will receive your final certificate that states you are an accredited ICF Coach which is valid for 3 years (renewable every 3 years)

Course Syllabus - Modules

Emmpower’s, ICF ACTP Program employs its proprietary SACCRED Model™ and Emmpower Process™ based on ICF competencies, GROW model and the Appreciative Transformative approach, delivered in English, through the following 12 structured modules of 8-hours each:

Modules are primarily Virtual sessions, but each Level has one day of a physical, face to face session in Bangalore which if required can be a virtual session for outstation participants. This also includes the 8 ICF competencies with mentor coaching at 2 credential levels, ie. ACC and PCC.

• Module-1 : Setting the Foundation : Coaching definition, differentiation, discerning benefits, ICF Applications process, ICF Competencies and C1 – Demonstrating Ethical Practices.., The Coaching Process and Emmpower’s SACCRED ModelTM
• Module-2 : Setting the Foundation : C2 – Embodying The Coaching Mindset and Approach with the GROW Model, John Whitmores questioning and leveraging Appreciative Inquiry. This includes applying the Ideal Performance State for a Coach.
• Module-3 : Co-Creating the Relationship : C3 – Establishing and Maintaining the Agreement as part of the coaching process as well as contract with clients; C4 - Cultivating Trust and Safety while building relationships
• Module-4 : Co-Creating the Relationship : C5 - Maintains Presence and being in the Ideal Performance State of a Coach and the usage of Thomas Leonard’s concept in maintaining the coaching presence.
• Module-5 : Communicating Effectively : C6 – Listening Actively, and at different levels / potentials along with the Inner Game and NLP ; C7 – Evokes Awareness with Powerful Questioning, various Tools / Concepts and Emotional Intelligence for coaching.
• Module-6 : Cultivating Learning and Growth : C8 – Facilitating Client Growth with learning, creating awareness with direct communication, arriving at SMART solutions with Transactional Analysis for Action Accountability.
• Module-7 : Creative Tools for Coaching and Learning Review - : PCC Level 2- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, working with Perceptions, Physiological and Neurological Awareness for coaching along with assignments and learning evaluations against ICF competencies
• Module-8 : ICF Competencies and the Holistic Approach : ICF Competencies and Wheel of Life with Power Tools.
• Module-9 : ICF Competencies : ICF Competencies in Leadership, Learning from the Masters and Creative Visualization
• Module-10 : ICF Competencies : ICF Competencies in Business and Professional Applications of coaching
• Module-11 : ICF Competencies : ICF Competencies and the Coaching Journey with philosophical approaches
• Module-12 : ICF Competencies : ICF Competencies review, Coaching Tools and guidelines, assignments, objective review ICF application process and Performance Evaluation. All modules include : Observed coaching based on the ICF Core Coaching Competence Course Content Manual
